services we offer |
Although
we specialise in water sports, WhiteWater Nepal can also
organise a range of activities on dry land throughout the country.
If
you desire, we can arrange treks off the beaten track and into
the countrys more remote regions - where we are often able
to help support local communities. We also offer cycling tours
and sightseeing services around the Kathmandu Valley and beyond.
And many of our customers choose to combine one of our rafting
trips with a visit to one of Nepals famous National Parks.
Further
more, WhiteWater Nepal are pleased to offer another exclusive:
special Educational Programmes. These programmes are designed
by us in consultation with qualified teachers from the international
community. |
| Jungle
Safari |
Jungle
safaris have a long history in Nepal. They first started as hunting
trips for the Royal Family and biggame hunters from around the
world. Today the hunting is more commonly done with a camera.
In
Nepals protected National Parks you can observe the wildlife
on foot, from the back of a jeep or even a top an elephant! Some
of the animals you may come across include endangered one horned
rhinos, deer, birds, monkeys and, if you are very lucky, a royal
Bengal tiger.
Whats
more, a number of our rafting trips pass through the region in
Nepal known as the Terai home to the National Parks. We
recommend a jungle safari as the perfect way to relax, unwind
and experience the wildlife of Nepal.
We
can arrange safaris in Royal Chitwan National Park, Bardia National
Park and Royal Suklaphat Wildlife Reserve. |
| Cycling
Tours |
We
can organize cycling tours around the Kathmandu Valley and beyond.
Cycling is a great way to travelaround Nepal and it is becoming
increasingly popular. Why not try some biking after you have been
on one of our rafting trips?

We
are pleased to arrange sightseeing trips for you in and around
the Kathmandu Valley. Nepal boasts a rich cultural diversity and
it is well worth exploring the region. If you only have a short
time in Nepal, our tours will make sure you get the most out of
your trip.
Favorite
destinations for visitors are Bhaktapur, where it is possible
to see local potters at work, Nagarkot, for wonderful sunrises
and mountain views, Swayambhunath (monkey temple), Patan Durbar
Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square, but we can design programs
to meet your own requirements and budget. We can take you to all
the popular tourist attractions, but also our knowledge of the
area around the Kathmandu Valley ensures that we can take you
to less known, but equally interesting and culturally rich places.
All
our sightseeing excursions are conducted by experienced guides
who speak and understand English very well. Guides for non-English
speakers can also be arranged. |

A
trip to Nepal is a rewarding and educational experience for students
from any country. As such, we specialize in offering educational
programmes.
Our
programmes are designed in consultation with qualified teachers
from the international community to meet the individual needs
of the participating students.
We can provide single activities or a variety of combined packages,
which include different combinations of the following:
|
- Rafting
- Kayaking
- Jungle
safari/National Park experience
- Trekking
|
| Sightseeing |
We
will work with you in developing an education programme that meets
the precise needs of the students of your institution. We can
also arrange all your accommodation, airport pick-ups and transport
to and from activities. |
| Our
Education Policy |
We
believe in providing educational experiences in which students
develop their own personal and interpersonal skills, in a safe
and secure environment.
A selection of challenging and exciting activities can be especially
adapted to meet the needs of your students.
All our guides speak English and have experience working with
students in outdoor activities. They are also trained in CPR,
first aid and advanced river rescue techniques.
Our activities are open to students aged 13 and over. |
| Rafting
for students |
We
offer rafting trips specifically designed for student groups on
three of Nepals rivers: the Seti, Trisuli and Kali Gandaki.
(Rafting on the Kali Gandaki is dependent on the time of the year,
river conditions and the age and size of the students.)
We provide staff on a 1:4 ratio helping to ensure the safety of
all participants, at all times. |
| Kayaking
for students |
Through
our kayak school, we can teach students to learn to kayak, or
to improve established skills. The kayak school starts with basic
skills, building up to rolling in white water and navigating small
rapids. |
| Jungle
Safari / National Park Experience |
A
trip to one of Nepals protected National Parks or Wildlife
Reserves is a unique opportunity for students to experience some
of Nepals native flora and fauna. We can arrange safaris
by jeep or elephant, both a great but safe way of viewing wildlife
such as the one horned rhino, deer, monkeys, sloth bears and,
if you are very lucky a royal Bengal tiger!
There
are also opportunities to visit the elephant breeding centre,
see traditional Tharu dancing and visit a typical Tharu village.
Jungle safaris can be easily combined with one of our rafting
trips for a more rounded experience. |
| Trekking |
Nepal
is famous for its wonderful mountain scenery, and the best way
to see it, is to trek it. It is a common misconception that the
most rewarding treks are the longer ones. In fact, stunning views,
excellent trekking routes and diverse cultures can all be found
on short treks not far from the Kathmandu Valley. If you are limited
by time or budget, these treks are excellent opportunities to
see more of Nepal.
We
offer a variety of short treks, many of which can be completed
in just one or two days. Our trekking guides provide informative
coverage of all treks, routes, peoples encountered and local festivals
and customs. We can also arrange porters if required.
However,
you dont need to embark on a trek in order to see Nepals
stunning scenery; fine views can usually be found wherever you
are, on the river, inside the National Parks or even on the road
en-route from one place to another. |
| Sightseeing |
If
you and your students have a limited amount of time, our sightseeing
tours in an around the Kathmandu valley will make sure you make
the most of it.
Favourite
destinations for groups are Bhaktapur, where it is possible to
see local potters at work, Nagarkot, for wonderful sunrises and
mountain views, Swayambhu (monkey temple), Patan Durbar Square
and Kathmandu Durbar Square, but we can design programs to meet
your own requirements and budget. We can take you to all the popular
tourist attractions, but also our knowledge of the area around
the Kathmandu Valley ensures that we can take you to less known,
but equally interesting and culturally rich places.
All our sightseeing excursions are conducted by experienced guides
who speak and understand English
very well. Guides for non-English speaking groups can also be
arranged.
